Customer persona: the Hearthside buyer
Who she is
Women 25-40. An informed candle buyer who has been disappointed by at least one $30+ candle in the past two years. She follows lifestyle and wellness content and is fluent in clean-beauty vocabulary. She gifts candles 3-6 times per year and feels mild anxiety about each gifting decision.
She reads the label before she smells the candle. Ingredient transparency, burn time and the story behind the scent all get checked before the price does.
What she is tired of
Weak scent throw, tunnelling after the first burn and "eco" claims that fall apart on inspection. She has stopped trusting the word natural on its own.
Where she shops
Instagram and TikTok for discovery, then straight to the brand site. She rarely buys candles on Amazon unless she is replacing one she already trusts.
Expect pushback
